Directions to Haresfield, Gloucestershire!:
FROM LONDON: We prefer the M4, but you can also go M40 via Oxford. From
the M4, exit at junction 15 and take the 3rd exit at the roundabout,
A419. Follow to Cirencester.
SCENIC: Stay on the A419 at Cirencester and follow signs to Stroud,
then Stonehouse. Through Stonehouse, Standish and then take a sharp
right turn signposted to Haresfield. At the next T-junction, turn left
for the Church, or right and over the railway bridge for the Pub.
OR: At Cirencester, join the A417, and follow all the way to the M5.
Turn left onto the M5 (Bristol & the South West), and for Haresfield,
exit at junction 12.
Directions to St Peter's Church, Haresfield:
Leave the M5 at junction 12 and take the 'Stonehouse' exit. Within 100
meters turn left, opposite Blooms Garden Centre. At T-Junction, turn
right. The car park is in the first field on the right (look for 'Wedding
Car Park' sign). The Church is through the gate on the opposite side
of the field.
Directions to 'The Beacon Inn', Haresfield:
Leave the M5 at junction 12 and take the 'Stonehouse' exit. Within 100
meters turn left, opposite Blooms Garden Centre. At the T-Junction,
turn right and continue over the railway bridge. Take the 1st turning
on the right and pass through the village. The pub is the last building
on the left.
Directions from Haresfield to Tortworth Court:
Return to junction 12 on the M5 and take the 1st slip road on the left
(southbound towards Bristol). Leave the M5 at junction 14, Falfield
(approx. 14 miles). Turn left at the T-Junction, ascend the hill and
take the 2nd turning on the right (signposted Four Pillars: Tortworth
Court). In 400m, turn right into private drive.
Alternative (scenic!) route if any conjestion on M5:
Return to junction 12 and cross the M5. In 200m, at the roundabout,
take the 1st left on to the A38 south. This runs parallel to the M5,
so follow for 14 miles to Falfield. Turn left to cross the M5 at junction
14, ascend the hill and take the 2nd turning on the right (signposted
Four Pillars: Tortworth Court). In 400m, turn right into private drive.
